Jeremiah Shingledecker continued his stellar season with his second [Tri-City] victory of 2007 in the 20-lap DIRTcar Big Block Modified feature. Driving his Carmate Trailers/Quaker Steak & Lube/Lou Heath & Son Excavating and Trucking Bicknell No. 37MD, Shingledecker survived a three-car battle with early leader Chris Schiffer and Andy Priest to take the lead on the ninth circuit. Racing into turn three side-by-side, Priest made contact with Schiffer, which sent Schiffer spinning and Priest to the rear of the field. Once out front, Shingledecker cruised to his seventh career win at Tri-City.

“I didn’t see Chris spin at all,” said Shingledecker after his seventh career win at Tri-City. “That’s a shame because he ran a good race. We’re just excited with the start to our season. We finally have an engine that we need. I’d like to thank my mom, my mother-in-law, and my wife for everything.”

Weekend Wrapup Includes Victory #3!

The Livin’ The Dream Tour ’07 continues rock on, gaining momentum each week. This past weekend (May 4 – 6) saw the 37MD team pick up yet another victory, as Jeremiah captured the checkers at Lernerville for the 2nd time in 3 weeks.

From Lernerville’s press release:

The Main Event featured the Ferrante Motor Cars Modifieds and for the second time this season, Jeremiah Shingledecker waved the checkered flag in victory lane. Shingledecker (#37MD) of Stoneboro piloted his Quaker Steak & Lube Big Block Modified to a late race pass of Del Rougeux (#20D) of Frenchville. Rougeux and Dave Murdick (#61) of Slippery Rock swapped the lead multiple times in awesome wheel-to-wheel action for the first 23 laps of the race. But on lap 24 Shingledecker passed both to move from third to the lead and rolled into victory lane.

Jeremiah followed that up with a strong 2nd place finish at Tri-City Speedway on Sunday. It easily could have been yet another victory for the 37MD team, but it wasn’t to be, and despite having what appeared to be the fastest car, 2nd place was the final position for the car on this night.
